Properties:
lThe tanning performance of DOWELLTAN ZAT is strong. The shrinkage temperature of leather tanned by DOWELLTAN ZAT is high.
lDOWELLTAN ZAT has good absorbency. The absorbance of materials is up to 90%.
lDOWELLTAN ZAT does not contain chromium or formaldehyde.
lTanning process is easy to control.
lLeather tanned with DOWELLTAN ZAT is smooth, fine, soft and full.
Application:
lDOWELLTAN PZA and DOWELLATOL CP are auxiliaries for DOWELLTAN ZAT tanning agent. DOWELLTAN PZA helps ZAT penetrate and distribute evenly. DOWELLATOL CP promotes the combination of ZAT and skin fibers, increases the shrinkage temperature of leather.
lTanning process can be carried out in conventional pickling solutions. It is recommended to use DOWELLTAN PZA (40% of DOWELLTAN ZAT dosage) for the pre-tanning process first. According to the thickness of the skin, the rotation time is 360 minutes or more after adding DOWELLTAN ZAT. The penetration of materials can be tested with xylenol orange indicator. After the entire incision of skin is reddish purple, raise pH to 4.0-4.2 and then heat up.
lIt is advisable to use 2-4% DOWELLATOL CP in retanning or fatliquoring process to enhance the combination between DOWELLTAN ZAT and the skin.
lThen according to the thickness of the skin, rotate for more than 360 minutes after adding ZAT.
lIt is suggested that the pH value of retanning process shall not exceed 5.5.
lDOWELLTAN ZAT is used in the main tanning process, vegetable tannin extract/chrome powder is used in the retanning process. Then we can get the different performance characteristics of leather.
lThe dosage of ZAT is 6.0-10.0% based on the weight of limed hide.
lIf tanning with DOWELLTAN ZAT alone, the tanning is incomplete or does not reach the desired shrink temperature, there may be the quality problem of leather during storage.
